Bequests:
- To grandson Philip Somerville, relict of his late son Wm Hugh S., deceased (now residing with my wife's brother John Connor Field of Adderbury Park in Oxfordshire) debt of £300 owed to him from John Connor Field on security of promissory note, plus interest. Appoints JCF as trustee for PS in case he is still a minor, to use as much as necessary for his maintenance and education and then to pay the £300 (or residue) on him reaching 21. If PS dies before 21, the £300 is to be given to JCF.
- To son John Somerville, Lieutenant in HM Navy
freehold messuage outhouses garden stable and hereditaments in Tamerton Foliott, late in possession of Peter Budd (bankrupt). To JS and his heirs and assigns.
a leasehold dwelling house, no 71 George Street, Plymouth Dock, occupied by Mr Davis, house carpenter, to hold during his term and interest therein, subject to rents, conditions etc owed to the Lord of the Manor of Stoke Damerel, and also subject to an annuity chargeable to Mrs Elizabeth Grigg of Youghall in Ireland
the household furniture and effects at the house in Tamerton Foliott and the library of books which may be at Plymouth Dock, Tamerton Foliott or elsewhere
- To son George Field Somerville £1000 stock in Consolidated Annuities, in lieu of an annuity of £30 secured at George Somerville's marriage with Mary Hodge. To be transferred one year after testator's death.
- To James Litle and his wife Mary £1000 stock, in lieu of claims which may be made by James Litle and Mary in respect of £250 (balance remaining on £1000 promised on their marriage), and in respect of interest on the £1000.
- To daughter Rosina Young Somerville £1500 stock, to be transferred one year after death of the testator.
- To wife Rosanna Byron Somerville and other trustees £1500 stock, to be transferred after one year upon trust for his daughter Rosina Young. Dividends to be paid to her during her life for her own use. Stock to be held by the trustees, after Rosina's death, in trust for the beneficiaries nominated in Rosina's will, or to her heirs.
- To son James Bowen Somerville, a midshipman in the Royal Navy
£2000 stock, to be transferred after one year
Leasehold dwelling house, 86 Duke Street, Plymouth Dock, occupied by Henry Denham, grocer, for all the estate and interest therein subject to rents etc.
Premises and money to go to trustees during his minority. Dividends to be used for maintenance and education.
Should he die under age of 21, bequeaths the stock and house to all his living children equally, as tenants in common.
- To daughter Sarah Frances Field £1500 stock, plus £1500 to the trustees upon trust as above. Trustees to pay maintenance etc while under age.
- Residue to go to his wife unless she remarries. If she remarries, residue to go to living children in equal shares. Dividends in first year after decease to form part of residuary estate.

Remaining administration granted (27th May 1858) to James Byron Somerville, administrator of Rosanna Byron Somerville's estate (George Field Somerville having been Rosanna's surviving executor, who had died and left a will but no executor).
