(8) The old well (now filled in) was near the house, behind the sheds. Marian's mother lived here for 80 years. Marian, who was brought up on the farm, remembers that her mother's butter was always praised, no doubt due to the coldness of the water from the well. A new well has been bored in front of the house.(LP)
